Errol Louis’ students produce package for Gotham Gazette
Some intrepid students in Errol Louis’ political reporting class – or at least those who were free one recent night – decided to cover a mayoral forum that Errol was moderating. The result: a package of stories and photos for the Gotham Gazette.
They were up very late that night, some taking advantage of wi-fi at a local Popeye’s, but it was worth it. Toby Salinger and Emily Field used a smart Q&A format with great photos to elicit responses from the crowd; Chris Dell and Sara Sugar focused on the response to John Liu; and Sophie Rosenbaum, with a colleague from another class, produced an overview of the stop-and-frisk discussion that played out that night. Good deadline-writing practice!
